Privacy Policy

The short version
Your conversations are saved on your device. When you chat in the app, your messages are sent to an AI service to generate your child's perspective — but we don't store them on our servers. We don't have accounts, and we don't track your name.
What stays on your device
Your conversation history, child profiles, and saved perspectives are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not synced to the cloud and stays on your device.
What is sent to AI
When you have a conversation in the app, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) to generate your child's perspective. This is necessary for the app to work. These messages are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. Anthropic's data retention policy applies — they do not use API inputs to train their models.
Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics — things like which topics are most popular, how far users get in onboarding, and whether features are working correctly. We do not track:
- Your name or your child's name
- Conversation content
- Any personally identifiable information
Our AI provider
Little Voices uses Anthropic's Claude as the AI service that powers conversations and generates your child's perspectives. We chose Anthropic because of their strong stance on data privacy — they do not use API inputs to train their models. You can read more about their data practices at anthropic.com/privacy.
No accounts, no tracking
Little Voices does not require an account. There is no login, no email collection within the app, and no cross-device syncing. Your data is yours and stays on your device.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes conversation messages to generate perspectives
- PostHog — anonymous usage analytics
- Apple (StoreKit) — manages subscriptions and payments
We do not use any advertising SDKs or sell data to third parties.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process payments directly or store payment information.
